Note:
1. Room rates based on Mines Apartment Twin Sharing (inclusive of water and electricity)
2. Food based on RM 3 for breakfast, RM 6 for lunch and RM 8 for dinner
3. Transportation based on RM 120 for monthly bus rides and RM 80 balanced on cab fares
4. Entertainment based on RM 6 movie ticket on weekdays specials
5. Others would be the means of emergency
6. For those new in town, ensure you have extra money to cover expenses such as room deposit and first month rental.

We understand you need a safe, convenient and pleasant study environment to live in. We make it a priority to find lodgings within 5KM radius of the college. Types of accommodation that we are offering are:

       - 3 Rooms 2 Bathroom Apartment
       - 3 Rooms 1 Bathroom Flat
       - Townhouse

As a general guide, you should expect to pay between RM200 – RM400 per month for one room.

Facilities

Library

The library in Portman College is a place where our students can revise their studies, complete their assignments and projects with the help of additional information from the availability of books in our library.Our library is open from 9.00am to 5.00 pm on weekdays and 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday. Students are advised to leave the library 10 minutes before the closing time.

Rules to note in the library

• Students using the library should be considerate by conducting themselves in a quiet and orderly manner to avoid the disturbance of others.
• No food and drinks are allowed in the library.
• Smoking is prohibited in the library and within the school premises.
• Students should take note that they should hand over their bags to the office staff at the reception counter before entering the library.
• Mobile phones are not allowed to be used or turned on in the library.

Photocopying Service
Two photocopy machines are available in the library to cater to our students’ needs. Students are required to purchase a photocopy card from the reception counter.

Student can either purchase the photocopy voucher at:
1. RM 8.00 for 100 copies
2. RM 4.50 for 50 copies

Computer Lab

We also offer a wide range of computer services. The services available are Wireless Internet Broadband access, use of computers for the completion of assignments, projects and printing, etc. Students can seek assistance from the reception area if they require any help in the using of computers. The computer lab is opened from 9.00am to 5.00pm on weekdays and 10.00am to 11.00pm on Saturday. Students are required to begin leaving the computer lab 10 minutes before closing time.
